Garbology is a field in Archeology that examines trash in order to understand  human behavior and culture.

Using a photograph as a reference, I painted an image of the Marikina river after loads of garbage from Montalban were carried into the vicinities of Barangay Tumana during a heavy typhoon.

Painting can serve as a method in closely examining cultural objects, and can also reflect the inevitable subjectivities of fieldwork.
